As an ESRI Business Partner, Pipelogix has developed a GIS interface to benefit the CCTV Inspector as well as the engineer reviewing the data in the office.

The CCTV Inspector can view a map of pipe, lateral, or manhole layers in his survey form to select an asset and insert the detail into his survey form.  flexidata utilizes the ArcGIS Engine Runtime License to display the map imported from shape files.  A Full Reporting license is required with the GIS license for the Import/Export and Map Manager functions in flexidata.  The map can be displayed with a Lite Reporting License and GIS license in flexidata on the truck.

The engineer can link from the asset in his ArcView map directly to the movie, pictures, or the survey of the asset in flexidata with the flexi-tool bar extension.  If a Condition Shape file or Feature Class (for geodatabases) has been exported from flexidata, the condition displayed on the pipe can also link back to the movie. Only the GIS Module license is required to be on the engineers computer as well as a Reader installation of flexidata.

The supervisor with a Full Reporting License and a GIS License can import asset information and a map from shape files or a Geodatabase feature class into flexidata.  Version 6.2.6 has added the ability to import from a Personal or Enterprise Geodatase.  Now a supervisor can create a project of surveys by selecting pipes in ArcMap or the flexidata Map Viewer by selecting the pipes.  A shape file can be exported after the inspections are completed to display new pipes, or pipes with selected defect types (i.e. grease, cracks), or selected grade or score values.  Conditions can be exported as a shape file or as a feature class in a geodatabase.
